JEE Main 2027 Syllabus (Physics, Chemistry & Maths)

The JEE Main 2027 syllabus covers Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, based largely on the Class 11 and Class 12 NCERT curriculum. The official syllabus is released with the Information Bulletin, so confirm any additions or deletions there.

To plan smart, start with the high-weightage chapters and NCERT-based Chemistry. You can check the JEE Main chapter-wise weightage and the free NCERT textbook PDFs to build a focused study plan.

JEE Main 2027 Eligibility Criteria

The detailed JEE Main 2027 eligibility will be confirmed in the bulletin, but the general criteria based on previous years are:

  • Qualifying exam: Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • Year of passing: candidates who passed in 2025 or 2026, or are appearing in 2027, are typically eligible
  • Age limit: there is no upper age limit for JEE Main
  • Attempts: a candidate can appear in JEE Main for a set number of consecutive years as per NTA rules
Important: the 75% marks (or top 20 percentile) criterion applies for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs through counselling. Confirm all eligibility details in the official 2027 bulletin.

How Many Days Are Left for JEE Main 2027?

Counting from late September 2026, there are roughly four months, about 120 days, until JEE Main 2027 Session 1 begins on 22 January 2027. That is a serious but very workable amount of time if you start a focused plan now.

Turn the countdown into a plan: use the coming months to finish any pending syllabus, revise the high-weightage chapters, solve previous year questions, and take regular full mocks with proper analysis.
