Re-NEET 2026 Subject-Wise Difficulty Analysis
Based on student feedback collected right after the exam across exam centres.
| Subject | Difficulty | Key Observations | NCERT Dependency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Physics | Moderate to Hard | Toughest and most time-consuming section. Heavy calculation-based and formula-application questions. Thermodynamics, Modern Physics, Electrodynamics and Mechanics carried high weightage. Some questions required JEE-level conceptual thinking. | Medium — NCERT concepts with derivation-level application |
| Chemistry | Moderate | Balanced paper. NCERT-based statement and assertion-reasoning questions in Inorganic. Physical Chemistry was calculation-heavy and time-consuming. Organic Chemistry was manageable with clear mechanism understanding. | High for Inorganic, Medium for Physical and Organic |
| Biology (Botany) | Easy to Moderate | Mostly direct NCERT-based questions. Plant Physiology, Reproduction and Genetics were important. Diagram-based questions tested precision of NCERT reading. | Very High — almost entirely NCERT |
| Biology (Zoology) | Easy to Moderate | Human Physiology, Reproductive Health and Evolution carried more questions. Mostly factual NCERT recall. No major out-of-syllabus questions reported. | Very High — almost entirely NCERT |
| Overall | Moderate | Class 11 topics carried significant weightage across all subjects. No major out-of-syllabus questions. Tested NCERT memory in Biology and Chemistry, conceptual understanding in Physics. | High overall — Biology especially |

How to Calculate Your Re-NEET 2026 Score
Score Formula
Unattempted questions = 0 marks. Maximum score = 720. Apply formula separately per subject then add all three.
Step-by-step process
- Download all three subject PDFs from the section above
- Go through each subject answer key and mark each answer as Correct, Wrong or Unattempted
- Count total Correct answers and total Wrong answers per subject
- Apply the formula: (Correct x 4) minus (Wrong x 1) for each subject
- Add Physics + Chemistry + Biology scores to get your total out of 720
- Do not count unattempted answers — they neither add nor reduce marks
| Scenario Example | Correct | Wrong | Unattempted | Score |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Best case (Physics) | 40 | 2 | 3 | (40x4) - (2x1) = 158 |
| Average case (Physics) | 30 | 5 | 10 | (30x4) - (5x1) = 115 |
| Biology (well-prepared) | 80 | 3 | 7 | (80x4) - (3x1) = 317 |
| Biology (average) | 60 | 10 | 20 | (60x4) - (10x1) = 230 |
| Chemistry (balanced) | 32 | 6 | 7 | (32x4) - (6x1) = 122 |
