CBSE Sample Paper Class 12 and JEE / NEET Preparation
If you are preparing for JEE Main or NEET along with boards, the Class 12 sample paper is not a distraction. Both entrance exams are built on the same NCERT syllabus, and the board paper tests the same concepts in a written format.
JEE aspirants
Board Physics and Maths reward full derivations and clean steps. Practising them improves the conceptual clarity that JEE numericals depend on.
NEET aspirants
The Biology paper is almost entirely NCERT-line based. The same lines and diagrams appear directly in NEET, so this paper doubles as revision.
Everyone
Chemistry reasoning questions (why a reaction happens, compare properties) sharpen the exact thinking tested in both JEE and NEET.
Plan your months so that boards and entrance practice run together. Solve one board sample paper every weekend and keep weekdays for entrance-level practice.
Board prep sorted? Now lock in your JEE rank.
Competishun's Class 12 JEE course covers the full syllabus for boards and JEE together, with regular all-India tests to track where you stand.
- Senior faculty with 18 to 25 years' experience
- Board and JEE preparation in one plan
- AITS Prakhar test series for Class 12 students

Subject-Wise Tips From the CBSE Sample Paper Class 12
Here is what each 2026-27 paper rewards and where students usually lose marks.
Physics
- Section C has seven 3-mark questions (21 marks). Practise short derivations and numericals with units and significant steps.
- All three 5-mark questions have an internal choice. Read both options and pick the one you can finish completely.
- Use the constants printed on the paper. No calculator is allowed, so practise quick powers of ten.
Chemistry
- Four Assertion-Reason questions test exact NCERT reasoning, for example the nitration of aniline or the magnetic nature of complexes.
- Case and data based questions give tables. Practise reading data before answering.
- Name reactions, conversions and coordination compounds regularly feed the 3 and 5-mark questions.
Mathematics
- Sections D and E carry 32 marks. Write every step; marks are awarded step by step.
- The 1-mark block has 20 questions. Solve them first, but check signs and options carefully.
Biology
- Questions are application based but come straight from NCERT. Read reproduction, genetics and biotechnology chapters line by line.
- Draw neat, labelled diagrams wherever they add value. They fetch quick marks.
Computer Science
- Practise output questions and short Python functions on stacks and files every day.
- MySQL queries appear in several sections. Know SELECT with conditions, ALTER and UPDATE differences by heart.
How to Use the CBSE Sample Paper Class 12 the Right Way
Solving a CBSE sample paper Class 12 once is not enough. Use it to test yourself, then to guide your revision.
A simple 4-step method
- Finish the NCERT chapter first. Every question in the CBSE sample paper Class 12 is built on NCERT concepts.
- Solve in exactly 3 hours. No phone, no book, a timer on the table. Write full answers.
- Check with the marking scheme. See where each mark is awarded and copy that answer style.
- Keep an error list. Note every mistake by chapter, revise those chapters, and re-attempt after two weeks.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Leaving the 1-mark MCQs and Assertion-Reason questions for the last few minutes.
- Skipping units, diagrams or final boxed answers in Physics and Maths.
- Writing far beyond the word limit in Physical Education and humanities papers.
- Not reading both options of an internal choice before starting to write.
