Ans. (3) Sol. $$ \begin{aligned} & V_2=8 \text { volt } \\ & V_A-V_B=8 \text { volt } \end{aligned} $$ Current through zener diode, $\mathrm{i}=\frac{\mathrm{P}}{\mathrm{V}}=\frac{1.6 \mathrm{~W}}{8 \mathrm{~V}}=0.2 \mathrm{~A}$ $$ \begin{aligned} & V_C-V_A=10-8 \text { volt } \\ & \therefore R=\frac{V_C-V_A}{i}=\frac{2 V}{0.2 A}=10 \Omega \end{aligned} $$
