When Will the JEE Main 2027 Admit Card Release?
The exact date is not notified yet. Based on recent cycles, NTA usually releases the Session 1 admit card about 3 to 4 days before each exam date, in the second half of January, and the Session 2 admit card a few days before the April exam. How to Download the JEE Main 2027 Admit Card: Step by Step
The admit card is available only online at the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA does not send it by post or email. Keep your application number and password ready before you start.
Open the official site
Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in and click the "Download Admit Card for JEE (Main) 2027" link for your session.
Enter login details
Type your Application Number and Password. Enter the security PIN or captcha exactly as shown, it is case sensitive.
Submit and view
Click submit. Your admit card PDF opens on screen. Check every field carefully before printing.
Download and print
Save the PDF and take at least two clear printouts on A4 paper. A soft copy on the phone is not accepted at the centre.
Every Detail Printed on the Admit Card and How to Verify It
The moment your admit card opens, check every field against your registration and your ID. A small mismatch can cause a problem at the gate. Verify each of the following:
- Candidate name spelled exactly as on your photo ID
- Application number and roll number
- Date of birth and category (and PwD status if applicable)

- Reporting time and gate closing time
- Full exam centre name and address

Admit Card vs City Intimation Slip: What Is the Difference?
Many students confuse the two. In simple words: the city slip tells you the city, the admit card tells you the exact centre and time. The city slip comes first so you can arrange travel and stay before the detailed admit card is out.

What to Do If There Is a Mistake on the Admit Card
If you find a wrong name spelling, wrong photo, wrong category or any other error, act fast. Corrections are handled by NTA, not by the exam centre on the day of the exam.

Report immediately

Carry two passport photos same as the uploaded one, and follow any photo-pasting instruction on the admit card.

- Admit card printout (at least one clear A4 copy, keep two)
- One valid original photo ID: Aadhaar, PAN, passport, driving licence, voter ID or school/college photo ID
- One passport-size photograph, same as the one uploaded during registration (carry a spare)
- The self-declaration / undertaking form if your admit card asks for it, filled as instructed
- PwD certificate if you have applied under the PwD category and use a scribe
JEE Main Dress Code and Prohibited Items
NTA does not enforce a strict uniform, but it does restrict certain clothing and items for security. In recent cycles NTA has stated that footwear with thick or heavy soles and clothes with large buttons are not allowed. The safest approach is simple, light clothing.

For Paper 2A (B.Arch) and Paper 2B (B.Planning), the admit card process is the same, but your shift, timing and centre may differ from Paper 1. Check your paper type carefully on the admit card, since B.Arch and B.Planning have their own drawing and planning sections.
