Step 1: JEE Main Registration and Eligibility

The path starts with JEE Main, conducted by NTA in two sessions a year, with the best of the two counting. You register online, choose your exam cities, and appear in Paper 1 for B.E. or B.Tech admission to NITs.

Step 7: CSAB Special Rounds as a Backup

If you did not get an NIT seat in JoSAA, or want to try for a better one, CSAB special rounds fill the vacant NIT, IIIT and GFTI seats after JoSAA ends. This needs a fresh, separate registration and follows its own eligibility rules.
