About JEE Main 2025 Question Papers with Solutions
JEE Main 2025 was conducted in two sessions by the National Testing Agency. Session 1 happened in January 2025 across 5 dates and Session 2 in April 2025 across 5 dates. Together both sessions covered around 19 shifts with over 14 lakh candidates appearing across the country.
What makes this page different from most resources is that all papers here are available subject-wise. Instead of one combined PDF, you get Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as separate downloadable files for each shift. This is useful when you want to practise one subject at a time, analyse where you are losing marks, or just quickly go through the Maths section of a specific shift.
All papers include complete answer keys. These are official NTA question papers compiled and verified by Competishun faculty.

Why Subject-Wise Papers Matter: When you download a combined paper and check answers at the end, it is hard to see where exactly you lost marks. Subject-wise papers let you track your Physics score separately from Maths and Chemistry. This is the same analysis professional coaching centres do after every mock test.

How to Use This Table: After solving any downloaded paper, check its difficulty level from the shift analysis table above and find your marks in the correct column. The percentile estimate gives you a rough idea of where you would have ranked in that session. All figures are based on 2025 data with approximately 14.75 lakh unique candidates.
How to Use These Subject-Wise Papers for Maximum Benefit
These papers are available subject-wise which gives you more flexibility than combined PDFs. Here is how to get the most out of them:
Option 1 — Full Paper Practice (Best for Exam Simulation)
Download all three subjects for one shift together
Set a 3-hour timer and attempt all 75 questions without any help
Mark doubtful questions but do not skip them entirely
Calculate your score after time is up using plus 4 for correct and minus 1 for wrong
Use the shift analysis table to estimate your percentile
Option 2 — Subject-Wise Practice (Best for Targeted Improvement)
Download only the subject you are weak in across multiple shifts
For example download all Physics papers from January and solve them back to back
This reveals exactly which Physics chapters you struggle with most
After identifying weak chapters, study them and then re-attempt the same papers
This targeted approach improves scores much faster than full paper practice alone
Option 3 — Analysis Mode (Best for Pattern Recognition)
Go through the paper without timing to understand every question type
Note down which chapters each question comes from
After doing this for 5 to 6 shifts, you will see very clear topic frequency patterns
These patterns tell you exactly what to prioritise in your revision
This is the same approach top rankers use after every JEE cycle
From Competishun Faculty: Students who analyse papers deeply always outperform students who just solve paper after paper without review. Spend at least as much time reviewing your answers as you spent attempting the paper. The analysis session is where actual learning happens.

JEE Main 2026 Preparation Strategy Based on 2025 Paper Analysis
After going through all 19 shifts of JEE Main 2025, here is what you should focus on for 2026 preparation:
Physics — Target 80 Plus Out of 100
Mechanics including Laws of Motion, Work Energy, Rotation and SHM contributed 5 to 7 questions in almost every shift in 2025
Electrodynamics was the toughest section in most shifts. Electrostatics, Current Electricity and EMI together covered 6 to 8 questions
Modern Physics questions are mostly NCERT level and quite predictable. Always prepare this unit fully
All 5 Physics NVTs are compulsory. Most NVT questions in 2025 came from Mechanics and Electrodynamics
Optics and Thermodynamics appeared in nearly every shift and are scoring if prepared well
Chemistry — Target 85 Plus Out of 100
NCERT is everything for Inorganic Chemistry. In 2025, almost every Inorganic question had a direct NCERT source
Organic Reactions, Named Reactions and Product Prediction came up 6 to 8 times per shift consistently
Electrochemistry and Thermodynamics are high yield Physical Chemistry topics. Master the formulas and their applications
Chemistry can easily get you 85 plus if NCERT is done properly. This is the subject where the most marks are left on the table by most students
Mathematics — Target 75 Plus Out of 100
Calculus was the biggest section in 2025 — Limits, Definite Integration and AOD together gave 7 to 9 questions every single shift
Coordinate Geometry is scoring and predictable. Straight Lines, Circles and Conics appeared in every session
Algebra including Matrices, Complex Numbers and Probability added 4 to 6 questions per shift
Speed matters most in Maths. Practice finishing the Maths section in under 55 minutes
Vectors and 3D Geometry gave 2 to 3 questions per shift and are mostly formula-based
Target Score for 99 Plus Percentile in JEE Main 2026: Physics 80 plus, Chemistry 88 plus, Mathematics 77 plus — total around 245 marks. This gives you a comfortable 99 percentile even in a moderate difficulty shift. For 99.5 percentile, target 265 marks and above.

Subject-wise papers give you more flexibility. You can practise one weak subject across multiple shifts, track your Physics or Maths performance separately, or target specific subjects without downloading the entire paper. Most serious JEE aspirants prefer subject-wise analysis to identify exactly where they are losing marks.
In January 2025, 29 January Shift 2 was the toughest with a very difficult Physics and Mathematics section. The 99 percentile for this shift was achievable at just 148 to 153 marks. In April 2025, 7 April Shift 2 was the most challenging with hard Physics and Mathematics, requiring only 150 to 155 marks for 99 percentile.
22 January 2025 Shift 1 was the easiest shift of the January session with 99 percentile requiring 180 to 185 marks. In April, 3 April 2025 Shift 1 was the easiest with 99 percentile at 183 to 188 marks. Both had relatively straightforward Physics and Chemistry sections though Mathematics remained moderate.
For 99 percentile, marks ranged from 148 to 188 depending on the shift difficulty. The average across all 19 shifts was approximately 165 to 170 marks out of 300. In easy shifts you need 180 to 188 marks and in tough shifts even 148 to 155 marks can get you 99 percentile due to NTA normalisation.
Yes absolutely. JEE Main 2025 papers are one of the most important resources for 2026 preparation. NTA follows a very consistent pattern and topic distribution from year to year. Solving these papers gives you real exam experience, helps identify high-frequency topics, and calibrates your time management strategy for the actual exam.
Yes. From JEE Main 2025 onwards, negative marking of minus 1 applies to Numerical Value Type questions as well as MCQs. All 5 NVTs per subject are compulsory and cannot be skipped. This makes random guessing on numericals risky. Only attempt an NVT when you have a reasonable estimate of the answer.
In Mathematics, Calculus was the most dominant topic with 7 to 9 questions per shift covering Definite Integration, Limits, AOD, and Continuity. Coordinate Geometry including Circles, Conics and Straight Lines gave 4 to 5 questions per shift. Algebra including Matrices, Complex Numbers and Probability added another 4 to 5 questions. Vectors and 3D Geometry gave 2 to 3 questions consistently.
No. 8 April 2025 Shift 1 papers for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are currently not available on this page. Only 8 April Shift 2 papers are available. We will update this page as soon as Shift 1 papers become available. All other dates for both January and April sessions have complete subject-wise papers.
The best approach is to first attempt full papers under timed conditions, then use subject-wise papers for targeted practice in your weak areas. For example if Chemistry is your weak subject, download all Chemistry papers from January and April and solve them one by one. After each paper note which chapters you got wrong and study those chapters before attempting the next Chemistry paper.
